Bangalore, 4th April 2025 – The Lions Club of Bangalore Caliberts marked a significant milestone today with its finalisation meeting of the club’s office bearers. The event was held under the visionary guidance of Dr. PMJF PDG Vijaya Baskara Reddy, who announced the club’s flagship service project: G2W2M2 – Go Green Waste to Wealth Methodical Management. This transformative initiative is planned to be launched by former Chief Minister Shri D.V. Sadananda Gowda.

Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Rekha Devi and Mr. Yathindra, the Secretary (Admin) and Treasurer respectively, emphasized that the G2W2M2 will not only be the club’s main focus but will also serve as its permanent service project. With strong backing from Dr. Vijaya Baskara Reddy’s home club, the Lions Club of Bangalore Greater Koramangala, the project promises to create a sustainable impact on environmental and waste management practices.

G2W2M2 – A Vision for a Cleaner Tomorrow

The club shared that implementation modules for G2W2M2 are already in place and the pilot project will begin at RMV New BEL Road, under the supervision and patronage of Shri Sadananda Gowda. Mrs. Rekha Devi shared that Shri Gowda advised the team to focus on a specific zone to create deep-rooted impact rather than fragmented efforts across the city.

Mr. Yathindra, who will also serve as the Chairman of the G2W2M2 project, expressed his confidence in the initiative’s success, citing extensive planning hours and a vision to replicate the project across the community.

Strong Leadership and Diverse Membership

Lion Sampath Chari, the proposed Charter President, acknowledged the club’s unique blend of professionals, including surgeons, senators, entrepreneurs, educators, and creative artists, as a driving force for impactful service. Having over 50 years of experience in Lionism, he thanked Membership Committee Chairman Lion John for onboarding nearly 10 new members to the club.

Shri Sendhil, Secretary (Activities), expressed enthusiasm to dive into service with accelerated momentum.
