Dusit International, a prominent player in the Thai hospitality and property development sector, has unveiled ambitious plans to broaden its footprint in India. This expansion aims to introduce its luxury and upper-midscale brands to emerging markets, tapping into the country’s growing demand for quality accommodations. The strategic move is a continuation of Dusit’s efforts to enhance its presence in India. The company is particularly excited about introducing its Thai-inspired hospitality to markets that are high-potential yet underserved. Plans are underway to venture into tier-1 destinations as part of their next development phase.

Insights from Leadership
Deepika Arora, who leads Dusit International in India, shared insights into the company’s growth trajectory. “We recently concluded our first global Devarana retreat in Sakleshpur, Bengaluru, and we’ve just announced six additional deals. Our consistent signing strategy speaks to our commitment to this market,” she noted.
Reflecting on the performance of the dusitD2 Fagu since its opening on December 15, Arora stated, “The opening has exceeded expectations. Shimla is not only a popular tourist destination in India but also globally recognized. However, the area was in dire need of a quality venue for banquets and weddings.”
Meeting Market Demands
The dusitD2 Fagu offers breathtaking views and a unique experience, with the capability to host 400-500 guests for weddings. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” Arora emphasized, looking forward to the hotel’s future success in Fagu.
Siradej Donavanik, Vice President of Global Development at Dusit International, highlighted the vast potential within the Indian market. He stated, “India presents a massive opportunity with its unique destinations that are unlike any other in the world. With eight brands at our disposal, we have a diverse range of offerings tailored to meet the needs of different audiences.”
Dusit International is poised to redefine luxury hospitality in India, bringing its rich Thai heritage and exceptional service to a rapidly growing market. As they embark on this exciting journey, the company’s commitment to quality and guest satisfaction remains unwavering.
