BPCL Joins Forces with Sembcorp to Launch Innovative Green Hydrogen Projects

State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has joined forces with Sembcorp in an exciting new venture aimed at revolutionizing renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives across India. This collaboration is set to pave the way for innovative projects such as green ammonia production, bunkering, and strategies to reduce emissions in port operations, along with other cutting-edge green fuel technologies.

A Vision for Sustainable Energy

Krishnakumar, BPCL’s Chairman & Managing Director, expressed enthusiasm regarding the partnership, stating, "The alliance with Sembcorp represents a pivotal moment in our commitment to a sustainable future. Together, we will harness our combined expertise and resources to develop leading-edge renewable energy solutions and green hydrogen initiatives that support India’s ambitious climate objectives, alongside our goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 in Scope 1 and 2."
