- 100 calling minutes for international calls.
- 5 GB of data specifically for roaming.
- The ability to use the same plan within India, featuring 1.5 GB of daily data and unlimited calling.
Commitment to User Convenience
Siddharth Sharma, Director of Marketing and CEO of Connected Homes at Bharti Airtel, emphasized the company’s focus on user convenience. He stated, "Our newly streamlined international roaming plans are designed to redefine the value we offer to our customers, empowering them with generous data and voice options while they travel." Sharma reassured that Airtel is dedicated to adapting its solutions to meet the evolving needs of its clientele.
Airtel’s Global Reach
Bharti Airtel stands as a major player in the telecom sector, operating in 15 countries and serving over 550 million customers worldwide. Notably, it ranks as the second-largest mobile operator in Africa. The company caters to a significant number of international roaming users, particularly in Europe and North America.
In a strategic move, Bharti Global, a subsidiary of Bharti Enterprise, acquired a 24.5 percent stake in British Telecom for approximately $4 billion in November 2024. Additionally, to bolster its services in India, Airtel secured 400 MHz of 5G spectrum from Adani Enterprise on April 22.
Despite these advancements, Bharti Airtel’s stock has been under pressure, showing a decline of over 1 percent as of 1:20 PM on the day this news was reported.
