AWL Agri Business, previously known as Adani Wilmar, has announced impressive growth figures for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, highlighting a 7% year-on-year increase in volume. This surge, detailed in a recent business update, indicates a thriving performance, particularly within rural markets, outpacing urban counterparts.

Remarkable Revenue Growth

In terms of revenue, AWL Agri Business achieved a staggering 36% year-on-year growth, primarily driven by the foods sector. This success reflects the company’s strategic efforts to enhance its market penetration and broaden its reach.

  • Fiscal Year Highlights:
    • Overall Volume Growth: 10% YoY
    • Edible Oils Contribution: 10% YoY increase
    • Food & FMCG Sector Growth: Robust 28%

The company’s total revenue reached approximately Rs 62,000 crore by the conclusion of FY25, marking a notable 26% year-on-year growth. Additionally, revenue from alternate sales channels—such as modern trade, e-commerce, and quick commerce—exceeded Rs 3,600 crore in fiscal 2025.

Quick Commerce Success

AWL Agri Business reported a remarkable achievement in the quick commerce sector, noting an astonishing growth of over 100% year-on-year in sales volume during the fourth quarter. This accomplishment marks the best quarter the company has experienced in two years. A representative from the firm stated, “This growth reflects our strategic focus on operational improvements—particularly in product assortment, availability, and promotions—allowing us to tap into the rapidly expanding quick commerce channel.”

Strategic Expansion into Rural Markets

The company successfully met its goal of reaching 50,000 rural towns by enhancing its distributor network and expanding its rural sales force. This represents a ten-fold increase over just three years, growing from 5,000 rural towns in Fiscal 2022.

By targeting under-indexed markets, AWL Agri Business has reported strong outcomes, particularly in the southern region, which experienced an impressive 25% year-on-year growth in branded edible oils and foods during fiscal 2025. This region’s contribution to overall branded sales has now surpassed 10%.

In conclusion, AWL Agri Business’s strategic initiatives and focus on rural expansion have propelled the company to new heights, showcasing its ability to adapt and thrive in a competitive market.
