Adani Total Gas has recently announced a dividend of 25 paise per equity share, equating to 125% of its face value. This decision led to a total dividend distribution of Rs 0.50 for the fiscal year 2024-25, resulting in an increase in its dividend yield from 0.04% to 0.08%.

Consistent Payouts Despite Profit Fluctuations

A noteworthy observation is that Adani Total Gas has maintained its dividend payout at Rs 0.25 per share across various quarters and financial years, regardless of fluctuations in net profit or share price. The company’s steadfast approach to dividends remains a point of interest for investors.

"The Board has put forth a recommendation for a dividend of Re. 0.25 (twenty-five paise only) per equity share of Re. 1/- each, fully paid-up for the financial year 2024-25," the company stated in a regulatory filing. This dividend is pending approval from shareholders in the upcoming annual general meeting.

Financial Performance in Q4 FY25

Adani Total Gas declared its dividend alongside its Q4 results for the fiscal year 2024-25. The company reported a net profit of Rs 155 crore, reflecting an 8% decline compared to the Rs 167.96 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. This dip was mainly attributed to fluctuations in city gas distribution volumes. Despite this, the company’s revenue from operations saw a healthy increase of 15.5%, climbing to Rs 1453.37 crore, up from Rs 1258.37 crore in Q4 FY24.

Insights from Q3 Results

In the previous quarter, Q3 FY25, Adani Total Gas experienced a 20% drop in profit, posting Rs 142 crore as compared to the previous year. However, revenue from operations increased by 13% year-on-year, reaching Rs 1,401 crore. The operating EBITDA for this period fell 9% YoY, down to Rs 277 crore from Rs 300 crore in the same quarter last year.
