Bharti Airtel Stock Soars 3% Following Impressive Q4 Results!

Bharti Airtel has recently witnessed a remarkable surge in its share price, climbing 2.7% to reach an impressive Rs 1,869 on the National Stock Exchange. This upswing positioned it among the top performers in the Nifty 50 index. The catalyst for this growth was the company’s astounding increase in net profit, which soared over fivefold year-on-year during the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25.

Strong Financial Results

In Q4 FY25, Bharti Airtel reported a net profit of Rs 11,022 crore, a significant jump from Rs 2,071.6 crore in the same quarter last year. However, when adjusted for exceptional items, the net profit showed a more modest growth of 77%, amounting to Rs 5,223 crore.

  • Revenue Growth: The revenue from operations reached Rs 47,876 crore, marking a 27% year-on-year increase.
  • Mobile ARPU: The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for mobile services climbed to Rs 245, reflecting a 17% rise from Rs 209 in Q4 FY24.
  • Data Consumption: Mobile data usage surged by 21.2%, with the company gaining 24 million smartphone data customers year-on-year, bringing the total to 77% of its mobile user base.

Quarterly Performance Highlights

In the third quarter of FY25, Bharti Airtel also reported strong performance metrics. The net profit stood at Rs 14,781 crore, while adjusted figures showcased a remarkable 121% growth year-on-year, reaching Rs 5,514 crore. This was a significant increase from Rs 2,442 crore in Q3 of the previous fiscal year. Additionally, revenue for this quarter rose by 19%, totaling Rs 45,129 crore compared to Rs 37,900 crore the previous year.

Stock Market Trends

Despite the recent gains, Bharti Airtel’s shares experienced a 4% decline over the past five trading days. However, the stock has provided a 1.4% return over the past month and a substantial 18% increase over the last six months. Over the course of the past year, investors have seen their wealth grow by an impressive 42%.

  • Nifty 50 Comparison: In comparison, the benchmark Nifty 50 index has risen by 0.61% in the last five sessions and 5.4% over the past month, with a 10.6% increase year-on-year.

In addition to these impressive earnings, Bharti Airtel has declared a final dividend of Rs 16 per equity share for the financial year 2024-25, further enhancing shareholder value.
