Key Stocks to Monitor on April 23, 2025

HCL Technologies
HCLTech has reported a noteworthy 8% year-over-year increase in net profit for Q4FY25, amounting to ₹4,307 crore, up from ₹3,986 crore during the same period last year. This quarter typically experiences challenges, particularly in the product sector, but revenue from operations rose 6%, reaching ₹30,246 crore compared to ₹28,499 crore in Q4FY24.

Tata Communications
Tata Communications witnessed a remarkable jump in net profit, which soared to ₹1,040.51 crore in Q4FY25—an increase of 2.3 times from ₹321.52 crore a year ago. The company’s operational revenue grew by 6.12% to ₹5,990.35 crore, up from ₹5,645.07 crore in Q4FY24. As CEO Amur Lakshminarayanan noted, the firm has not faced significant repercussions from global tariff uncertainties, despite a general sense of caution among businesses.

Waaree Renewables
Waaree Renewables Technologies is strategizing to dive into hybrid renewable energy projects to meet the rising demand from data centers. With a robust order book of 3.2 gigawatts (GW), the company is also looking into Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) solutions. Abhishek Pareek, the group finance head, emphasized the need for readiness to adapt, particularly in the data center market.

Bharti Airtel
In a significant development, the Adani Group is divesting its sole telecom spectrum holding, transferring it to Bharti Airtel. The agreement, announced Tuesday, allows Bharti Airtel and its subsidiary Bharti Hexacom to utilize 400 MHz of spectrum in the 26 GHz band from Adani Data Networks.

Cyient DLM
Cyient DLM showcased strong performance with a 36.5% year-on-year increase in net profit for Q4FY25, totaling ₹31 crore, up from ₹22.7 crore the previous year. Revenue from operations also increased by 18.3% to ₹428 crore, compared to ₹361.8 crore a year ago.

Waaree Energies
The fourth quarter of FY 2024-25 was fruitful for Waaree Energies, which saw its net profit surge by 34% to ₹619 crore, compared to ₹461 crore from the same quarter last year. Additionally, revenue rose 36.4% to ₹4,004 crore, up from ₹2,936 crore in the prior year, with EBITDA reaching ₹923 crore.

Power Finance Corporation (PFC)
PFC has lodged a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing regarding alleged falsified documents submitted by Gensol Engineering related to delays in debt servicing. Out of ₹352 crore loaned for electric vehicle leasing in 2023, ₹307 crore remains unpaid.

Ambuja Cements
Ambuja Cements has successfully acquired a 37.8% stake from CK Birla group’s Orient Cement, thereby becoming a promoter. This acquisition boosts Ambuja’s total shareholding in OCL to 46.66%, after purchasing 1.82 crore shares, representing 8.87% from public shareholders.
